Thought I'd lost your info, but just found it today! We are packing for Asia on The Diamond Princess.
Sure had fun on that TA cruise last April! I have a few photos you may like. Enjoyed the Campbell Clan castle with you. Dave was so stoked to visit "his" Clan's Castle!
Sounds like you are having a blast! I'd love to visit on Skype, or whatever techy tool you use while traveling!
Hope all is well!!
Kathy (& Dave) Campbell
kathywithak1@me.com

Re: Zip-lining in Barbados

Wow, so cool!
Its Ken, remember me the Adobe Bloke from England. Sorry lost your e mail address. Just wanted you to know that I have updated my tutorials with some of the lessons learned on board. Let me have your e mail and I will send you copies.

Hope the cruise and teaching are going well.

Best Regards

I found that if I did a whole day without using the elevator I walk approximately 8 miles and it is good cardio exercise too. I agree with all your do's and dont's but it is sad to miss out on some unique opportunities too.

Re: Free Food, Weight Loss, and Me!

Keep a food log. It's been shown to help deal with some of the things you're talking about, like portion control and variety. And then post it to hold yourself accountable to the rest of us. ;-)

Also, working out at the gym a couple hours each day is not a realistic goal (in response to another comment). Even if you manage to do it one day, you'll get burned out really quickly. Stick to something long-term!

Re: Free Food, Weight Loss, and Me!

Rachel, eat sensibly and work out at the gym a couple of hours each day. Or, you can do water aerobics then swim a few lapses at the pool. :)

Re: (Not My) Last Cruise

Rachel, how cool that you were able to extend your contract. It's good for you and you can control what you put in it. I like to put chopped almonds in it, but I'm sure that's not available. You could put a little brown sugar and even some fresh fruit. My friend likes hers with yogurt mixed into it. Also, it keeps you full for a long time. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Love, Suellen

Re: Breakfast Dilemma

I view your job as one long vacation (which is a good thing). If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't go out of my way for anything, e.g. no new cereal to buy, or something extra to eat. You are already doing good with the All Bran Wheat Flakes & Raisin Bran. Imagine eating a bowl of Fruit Loops every day.

So in short, my thoughts are, stick with #1.
~Leighton

Re: Port Wrap Up – Cruise Two and Three

Rachel, thanks for keeping us posted on your adventures. As I said before, I'm living vicariously through your life. P.S. I finally caught up on your blog because there is absolutely nothing to watch on T.V. after all the finales and cancelled shows.

I have a feeling that you are going to write a book when you return to the U.S.
Maybe you can call it Adventures of Rachel....Sea This!!! All of the experiences you have, just make for a wonderful and exciting story. If they need a teacher who is going onto 4 years experience...let me know...lol. I am always up for an adventure. I am so glad that you are having a good time. Embrace this experience.
